Rolls Royce
du Clos D'Eugénie

Born on March 3, 2020
Parents: Ô de Violette & Paco

Royce was born in a small litter of 2 kittens, 2 girls. She is a blue and white British Shorthair. Her mother is Ô de Violette du Clos d’Eugénie. She gets her bicolor color from her father, a blue and white British Shorthair male.

Glad to have introduced the bicolor on this lineage, I kept Royce without hesitation. Great love of my youngest daughter, she is currently living in Luxembourg. Rolls Royce’s look is perfect: she is very short and wide, she has a fur of exceptional quality that she gets from her lineage. The distribution of her white is ideal. Her head is in all points in the rules of the standard. She also has large round and colorful eyes. Side character, she is very sociable with cats and humans. She is affectionate and loves the arms more than the average British. She is very funny, playful and has a good sense of humour. She is intelligent and has character. She has a very strong presence.

Royce’s presentation is an opportunity to write about the color blue in the British which is the original color of this breed.

In 1871 at the first cat show at the Crystal Palace in London, British Shorthair were presented and they won all the major prizes of the show. First breed of short-haired cats, they took the name of British Shorthair. The first cats were blue and this color is still the most known today.

The breed was recognized in France by the FFF (Fédération Française Féline) in 1979. For many years few cats participated in shows and they were mainly blue. These last ten years, the British Shorthair knows a very strong enthusiasm, still in blue but also in all the colors and dresses available in the breed.

The success of the breed is due to the teddy bear’s look and the jovial character of the breed. The plain blue is very popular because there are few breeds that compete with it: the Chartreux and the Russian Blue only.

When I chose my first breeding cats, I adopted a cinnamon male, a lilac tabby point female and a blue and white female. When I had my first kittens, I fell in love with the solid blue, and from then on I adopted my first blue reproducers, including Gloria Bonibrit, at the origin of the Rolls line.

All the kittens born from Gloria and her daughters were blue without exception. They were also all unicolor except Rolls Royce who is bicolor.

Ô de Violette
du Clos D'Eugénie

Born on July 3, 2018
Parents: Gloria & Eminem

Ô de Violette was born at home, from Gloria’s last litter, composed of 4 blue girls. I kept Ô de Violette and Or Rose in this litter. It was an extraordinary adventure because they grew up together and had their first litter the same week in June 2019. They raised together their 9 kittens making me live an exceptional double litter.

On the physical side Violette is a female of good size, with a blue dress tending to anthracite gray. Her fur is of perfect quality. Her intense eyes are exceptional. Her body is short and stocky on short and strong legs. She is a very beautiful cat.

Her character fascinates me. She is the zen attitude. Fear of nothing and not aggressive for a penny even in case of stress, she is a perfect mother in every way. Royce inherited her mother’s wonderful character.

Gloria Bonibrit

Born on May 14, 2015
Parents: Pandora & Orphéus

Gloria was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. Arriving from Lithuania at the age of 7 months with her cousin Horacio, I immediately liked everything about Gloria: her look and character. She is an extremely well proportioned medium sized female with a fabulous dark blue fur, a fur that Violette inherited. Her incredible orange eyes are easily passed on to her descendants. Gloria comes from a long line of British blue over many generations and she has only passed on this color to her descendants.

Side character, a pure wonder. She is always in a good mood and sweet. Pacifist with her fellow creatures, I have seen her intervene to put an end to a dispute with an incredible determination.
