At present, due to a very large number of applications, the adoption procedure is arranged as follows:

You can now subscribe to the Newsletter by filling in the form here. By doing so, you will be informed of all the news concerning the future litters, as well as the news of my contemporary cat furniture line Bogarel.

So there is no waiting list at the moment.

Reserving a kitten

When the litters are born, you can contact me by email for the available kittens. I will call you to get to know you and put the kitten in option until the reservation appointment. Normally, the reservation is made on the spot. This is a friendly moment of exchange and information about your project. It is also an opportunity to show you the health tests of the breeding stock. It is completed by the signing of a reservation contract. However, some adjustments may occur due to the pandemic caused by the COVID 19 virus.

Kitten health

The health of our cats and kittens is a priority. I have been working closely with the Elysée Clinic in La Celle Saint-Cloud (Yvelines, France) since the beginning.

The veterinarian Caroline De Ponnat and her team of veterinarians and veterinary assistants allow me to manage the various breeding issues: consultations, surgery, health monitoring of cats and kittens, monitoring of pregnancies, vaccination and identification of kittens, ultrasound examinations, radiological examinations, blood tests, sanitary visits to the cattery… She closely follows my cats, births and kittens until their departure.

The kittens leave home between 2 and a half months (for France) and 3 and a half months (for abroad) with a LOOF pedigree application in progress.

They are identified by microchip at 8 weeks of age during a first veterinary visit. The identification is done by means of the latest generation of chips, the Thermoship, which allows the kitten’s temperature to be taken for more precise health monitoring.

Kittens are dewormed between the 2 veterinary visits. The first vaccination (Typhus Coryza) is given at the second visit, with the issue of a veterinary certificate detailing the state of health of the kitten.

I always discuss with the adopters the protocols to be put in place concerning deworming, flea and tick prevention, vaccine reminders as well as additional vaccines to be given according to the cat’s lifestyle in its new family.

I would like to remind you that vaccination is essential to protect your kitten against certain diseases. Unfortunately, this is not a risk-free act for young kittens. The protocol is therefore done in close collaboration with the vet and the future adopter.

I also recommend that kittens are neutered before puberty, usually between 6 and 8 months of age depending on sex and size. The adopter should therefore contact their vet to arrange this at the ideal time.

On the day of the kitten’s departure, the adopters receive a set of documents:

  • the contract
  • the health booklet
  • the kitten’s identification card
  • the application for a pedigree with the LOOF
  • the notice on the kitten’s needs
  • copy of some tests
  • the veterinary certificate
  • the notice on the breed and the needs of the cat
  • the notice on the feeding of the kitten’s litter
  • advice on toxic products: plants, food…

This list is not exhaustive.

The first steps in your home

Between the booking of your kitten and its arrival at your home, I will have communicated to you the precise composition of its trousseau.

It consists of 2 things:

  • The food: a brand of first-age kibble and a first-age pâté. Your kitten must have permanent and unlimited access to its food and water bowls.
  • The accessories necessary for your kitten’s well-being: carrier bag, toilet house, litter box, scratching post, cat tree, toys, toiletry utensils…

The arrival at your home is a difficult moment for him, he is leaving his mother and brothers and sisters, he does not know you or your home. He needs to be reassured and to find his bearings. This is why he needs to find what he is used to eating at home as well as what is essential for his well-being.

He should also be in a room with you for the first few days as he does not know your house. He will discover it a few days after his installation when he is relaxed.

During these first few days I will be kept informed of her progress and will answer any questions you may have. I appreciate receiving regular news and pictures of your kittens.
